Not worth the money

have had issues from day 1 with bluetooth sub and rear speaker volume not going up and down with the soundbar volume. i have spoken with best buy where i bought it and multiple times with samsung support with no solution. now i have 4 large paperweights sitting around my living room. also, samsung support can be very frustrating. i will think twice before i buy any other samsung product. now that the warranty is expired they offer- call us for a service call that we will charge you for.

Stopped Working afer 1.5 yrs & no repair

the samsung hw-n650 soundbar was working great for about 1.5 years, then it just stopped. tried reset, different connections, including bluetooth. all said that they were connected, but no sound. samsung does not repair soundbars in sacramento area. best buy will only repair it if you purchased the extended service. the local service places will not touch samsung products because samsung will not sell the replacement parts to them. don't purchase soundbars made by samsung.

Bought this soundbar about a year ago. It was working great until about 3 months ago. The sound started getting glitchy like when you lose cellphone service and only get bits of words is the best way to describe it. No sweat, it's under a year from purchase warranty will cover it, unless you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. In that case, you have to ship the soundbar to the mainland to be repaired. The cost to ship the soundbar is almost as much as I paid for the soundbar. So, if you buy this soundbar, make sure you live and only stay in the lower 48 states. Very disappointed with the warranty policy.

I love the sound and easy hook of this soundbar unit. Whether it is movies, music, sports or online gaming the sound is excellent. The sleek look and simplicity is just the look I was going for in my mancave. Overall I am very please with this purchase.

Weak Center Channel, Poor Dialogue Quality

Dialogue from tv shows/movies, which generally comes from the center channel, was very poor quality. Sound from center channel is muffled in comparison to everything else. To hear dialogue, you have to turn soundbar up which makes everything else way too loud. I had to keep bass turned all the way down basically or I'd be waking up my neighbors just so I could hear what was being said in my movie/tv shows. Even with bass turned down, any audio coming from the left or right channels would be extremely loud too if volume was turned up so that dialogue was audible. If you want to hear dialogue, your eardrums will suffer the consequences. I contacted Samsung prior to returning the soundbar and received no real answer as to why the center channel performed so poorly nor was I provided with a potential solution, whether that be replacement, repair, or otherwise. I returned soundbar, that process was easy and alleviated some frustration I had. I unfortunetly still don't have a good alternative audio solution at the moment but I'm happy to not be stuck with this 500$ soundbar that perform as expected.

I bought this for a gift for my husband. The sound bar works, back speakers are not so great and we cannot get subwoofer to work We have been into the store where we purchased it, and since we didnt buy the extended warranty they said they couldn't help us.

Set up relatively simple , pairs with t.v. No optical cable supplied but sounds better using one along with the hdmi cable which is supplied and also for full functionality. Good sound , play with the settings makes the listening experience much more enjoyable. Right now they're $289 on Massdrop if they have any left.

Bought this 5 months ago while in The USA. Now in Canada. Cannot be fixed since I don't have USA address. Nothing was mentioned at time of purchase. Stuck in on position but no function works. Probably Mother board is finished. Though I was purchasing quality but I guess not! Only cost me 100$ a month to have it. Most likely finished with Samsung products...

I paired this sound bar with the samsung wireless rear speakers. For such a simple install, the sound is awesome. I am glad I tried this set up first before investing in a dedicated sound system in my new home. My only gripe, which if resolved, would make this a perfect 5 star review is: There is no option to adjust the center channel speaker. In some cases, the dialogue of a movie or show I am watching is overwhelmed by all of the other audio, making the dialogue/voice hard to hear. There is an EQ that I can adjust through my qled TV, but it is still an issue sometimes. Samsung, it would be awesome if you could update the firmware so users can manually boost the center channel so dialogue can be heard more clearly.

I really wanted the Atmos soundbar, but since I have vaulted ceilings, I knew it would be pointless. So, I purchased the HW-N650 instead and was pleasantly surprised. I was using a Samsung soundstand, but it didn't have a woofer, so I enjoy having the bass back! The overall sound is good and I added the rear speakers to get the surround effect. Definitely a good investment for those who are searching for good sound and not looking for a complicated setup.

Easy setup. Terrific sound including surround sound. Subwoofer provides very good bass. This system is especially good when playing a 4k hd video including when streaming...the surround sound is spectacular in this instance. I experimented with all 3 tv connection options...Bluetooth, optical cable and hdmi cable...and find that the hdmi connection provides the best sound transfer. Excellent sound bar and subwoofer.

Great sound but no connection to Rear Spakers

So I got this sound bar and the sound is GREAT! I tried to connect my rear speakers (SWA-8500s) to the sound bar and NO CONNECTION! I tried calling Samsung support and the guy was helpful but didn't seem to know what to do. (I felt like he wasa following a guide or "how to" as he keep telling me to do what I had already done and then tried to explain that the rear speakers must "just be faulty sir!" Ummmm sorry no they worked with my HW-M360 sound bar minutes before. I am very disappointed right know that these two product will not connect as they should. I hope I do not have to resort to returning the new sound bar and just go with the old one? NOT HAPPY

I purchased this Sound Bar several weeks ago to go with my new Samsung 65 inch QLED TV. I am impressed by its quality construction, ease of setup,$ and its performance over the full range of sound.. Together with the wireless rear speaker kit ithey fill the room with sound. Voices are always clear and easy to hear. Having purchased the Bar and speakers at almost half the list price, I consider it money well spent. Although not as good as a component based sound system it does a very good job at delivering an enjoyable sound experience. I consider the rear speakers to be essential in giving a surround sound experience.

I took advantage during Black Friday and got this for a steal. NO REGRETS. It has been very good in sound quality, and easy to use. All features work great, and immersive sound field. I then added the optional rear speakers, and wow! Very well matched, and even at lover volumes has clear, powerful sound with a great tone. Not bad for the bedroom, might even change out the bulky living room setup with another of these...

Sound is great yet am having trouble with sound syncing up to my also 6 series 55" 6290 Tv, along with my ps4 pro cutting in out a second or two a few times an hour since i have hooked it up? Is this to do with it has no HDR pass-through? Also supposedly can hook soundbar up thru wifi on tv yet its grayed out? I just recently got it 2 weeks ago and possibly dont have all settings figured out anything changes and will change review!

I originally purchased a Sony soundbar because I trusted their products. I was very disappointed in the sound that it produced. The n650 was in the same price range and the salesman told me to give it a listen. I couldn't believe my ears, the sound was more of what I expected a premium soundbar to sound like. I promptly returned the Sony and purchased the n650. I connected it once I got home and with a few adjustments to the settings I was very pleased.I hope that it is reliable!

I bought this soundbar to help with voice clarity on our TV. I am extremely pleased with the clarity as well as the power that this soundbar brings to action scenes. And as long as the volume is toward medium and up, music sounds surprisingly good.

I have to say, i was a little worried when i bought this soundbar, but after hooking it up, i am more than pleased with this unit. Movies sound amazing and my xbox one x sounds insane. My only complain is that i have to use the optical cable to get the best sound, using Bluetooth and ARC does not give me the best sound. To get the best experience, hook up the rear "wireless" surround speakers.
